Uttar Pradesh Unveils Transformative Teacher Training Initiatives
In a significant push to elevate the quality of education, Uttar Pradesh has rolled out a series of innovative teacher training programs designed to align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These initiatives, launched in early 2025, target over 2.5 lakh teachers across the state, aiming to equip them with modern pedagogical skills, digital literacy, and inclusive teaching strategies to meet 21st-century classroom demands.
The state government, in collaboration with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), has introduced a comprehensive framework under the Uttar Pradesh Education Transformation Mission. This includes mandatory in-service training modules focusing on experiential learning, critical thinking, and technology integration.
